SPDF file extension

Oracle Information Rights Management (IRM) document securing program secured PDF file with the document stored using a "sealed" or locked format that may be opened only by users with sufficient rights. This file is sometimes used by inline textbook vendors to secure the distribution of purchased electronic textbooks. Oracle IRM Desktop program (that facilitates the authorization rights management for the electronic documents) can be used to view SPDF files. This program also tracks document usage statistics and enables the document rights manager to revoke privileges at any time. Integrated IRM program is sometimes provided with such business software as Microsoft Office or Lotus Notes.
