ArcMap (GIS mapping software provided with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop) geographical map template file with the base settings of a map, layout positions and visibility of program toolbars. The file allows users to generate several maps from the same starting point. The file called "Normal.mxt" is used as the default template for all new maps generated with the program. The file is stored in the "/Documents and Settings/[user]/Application Data/ESRI/Templates/" and may be edited to make a custom default template.
