Adobe Captivate (screen recording software that is used for generating multimedia eLearning products) project file with a series of slides and screen recordings, sounds and interactive content for each of them. This file is used for authoring learning management sustem (LMS) products like program demonstrations, simulations and quizzes. CPTX files may be exported to a SWF file that may be played back using the Adobe Flash Player or other SWF-compatible player. These files can also be exported to a standalone Windows executable (EXE file). Adobe Captivate is provided with the Adobe Technical Communication Suite. Previous versions of the program used CP files instead of CPTX files.
