XenCenter (administration program for XenServer virtualization application) file with all information for a "virtual appliance" that is a virtual machine including a pre-installed operating system and programs. The file is needed to import, export and install virtual appliances. XVA files include disk images for the virtual machine and the virtual appliance configuration information. To export a virtual appliance in XenCenter select "Tools" → "Virtual Appliance Tools" → "Export Appliance..." (or "File" → "Import", click "Browse...", and then choose your XVA file to import).
