XFDL file extension

This file is the Extensible Forms Description Language (XFDL) file that uses XML to describe a structured, legally-binding business form. The file includes such business form data as layout, business transaction details, inline mathematical and conditional expressions and digital signatures. XFDL file addresses business transaction needs for non-repudiation, auditability, security and preservation of context. XFDL files were created to generate standardized and interchangeable business forms. They were transformed from the Universal Forms Description Language (UDFL) to contain the XML format. These files are used in business and goverment e-Commerce transactions.
