VCF file extension

This is a default file format which is used to save contact data for a person or business. It stores a name, address, phone number, email address and other contact data and is compatible with custom fields, graphics and other kinds of media. These files are usually used to import and export contacts from address books. They can be attached to email messages that provides the recipient an easy way for importing the sender's contact data. Windows Contacts application in Windows Vista and Address Book program in Mac OS X can be used for opening these files. They can be also loaded to the Contacts application in iPod and iPhone.
