U3P file extension

U3 Smart Drive (special type of USB flash drive that contains the U3 Launchpad platform) portable program with application executables and configuration information. It allows applications to be executed from the flash drive on any Windows computer. This program can install several files on the local computer if required. U3P files are stored using a compressed ZIP format and include four folders: "data/", "device/", "host/" (stores the EXE file) and "manifest/" (stores the program configuration data (U3I file) and the application icon). The U3 Launchpad application executes when the USB device in connected to the PC. Such manufacturers as SanDisk, Verbatim, Kingston, Memorex and Intuix use U3 Launchpad software on their U3 smart devices.
