RLE-encoded 4 or 8-bit bitmap graphic file, basically a DIB file that uses Run-length encoding (RLE) compression. This is a generic graphic format that is used in old versions of Windows and CompuServe programs. RLE graphic format is the default format the is used by the Utah Raster Toolkit (suite of applications and C routines for managing raster graphics).
