OPF file extension

This file is a FlipBook (for example digital magazine or other publication which may be viewed using FlipViewer) that is stored using the OEB Package Format (OPF) formatted in XML. It contains metadata that describes the content and a list of pages, pictures and text referenced by the software. OPF files may be generated and edited using any text editor due to their XML format.

OPF files are usually used to share images with friends and family or by professional photographers to arrange images for clients. These files use E-Book Systems proprietary FlipAlbum XML format.

Formatted according to the Open Packaging Format (OPF) standard (part of the EPUB eBook specification) file with such eBook data as the title, language, book ID, creator, reading order and display formatting. It is used as part of an EPUB package for defining eBook metadata. OPF files use an XML formatting. Its format also requires a second NCX XML file with the table of contents for the EPUB eBook.
