Managed Object Format (MOF) file that defines Common Information Model (CIM) classes. The file outlines textual definitions of classes that are used by a provider to return data. The file is usually used for changing Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) preferences and for transferring them between computers. MOF files are written with a language based on the Microsoft Visual C++ syntax. Mofcomp.exe utility can compile these files into the WMI repository.
