IV file extension

Open Inventor (object-oriented toolkit that is used to create three-dimensional scenes and animations) scene graph file that uses a text formatting and includes "nodes", "fields" and their relations and settings. This file is used for describing three-dimensional models and making up a scene by comprising all models together. IV files may be used for customizing different three-dimensional objects like geometry, cameras, textures, sequencing and color. Such preinstalled shapes as cones, cubes, cylinders, spheres, two and three-dimensional text may be customized in IV files. Open Inventor provides a higher layer of abstraction for 3D programming as it is built on top of OpenGL.
