Mobile devices Web page that was generated with the Handheld Device Markup Language (HDML - an extension of the SGML language that is used to generate SGML files). This Web page is optimized for displaying on smartphones and other portable electronic devices. Openwave UP.Browser can be used to open HDML files on compatible devices. Default Web browsers do not support these files, but they can be edited on a PC using a text editor. The Wireless Markup Language (WML) is now used instead of HDML.
