FLT file extension

OpenFlight format three-dimensional scene description file with information stored using a hierarchical structure that describes how a three-dimensional scene should be rendered by a real-time image generator. It is usually used for military, urban city and flight simulation visualizations. Presagis (MultiGen-Paradigm) develops and maintains the OpenFlight format. This format has been widely adopted as the default format in the 3D visual simulation community. 3ds Max, Blender, and several other programs have the native support for this file type.

Microsoft Flight Simulator (realistic Flight Simulation video game) file with saved flight that can be a flight provided with the application or a flight saved in progress that may be loaded and continued at a later time. The "Fltsim.flt" file is required by the program in order for the application to open and must not be deleted or moved.
