Celestia (real-time universe visualization software) three-dimensional model file that uses OpenGL technology to render and can be saved using a binary or ASCII text format. This file is used to show planets, stars and other space objects. Several modeling applications with installed appropriate CMOD export plugin (for example Blender and Anim8or) may be used for exporting CMOD model files. Celestia is also able to open models saved using the 3ds Max 3DS format.
