Mac OS X Installer "Bill of Materials" (BOM) file that is used for defining what files should be installed, updated or removed while a software update is in process. The file includes files that have been installed and information about them. May also contain Unix permissions, owner and group data, file size, last modified date and a checksum for each file. BOM files are located in the "/Library/Receipts/boms/" directory. These files should not be opened by the used and are referenced by the Mac OS X Installer.
