BLF file extension

MasterWorks (digitizing software that is used to develop digital embroidery designs) embroidery design file with shapes, colors and outlines for the design. The file is usually used to save and modify a design before exporting it to a machine-compatible stitch file format. With these files users are able to work at a higher level with shapes and outlines instead of at the lower machine-specific stitch and thread level. Exported from BLF files stitch formats include PES and DST files.

Common Log File System (CLFS - a component of Microsoft Windows operating system that is used to generate transaction logs) log file with metadata used for managing access to the log data. The file may be generated with the CLFS. These files are commonly used with corresponding "containers" that are files with the log data. BLF files may be found in the "C:/Users/[user]/" folder or in the "C:/Windows/System32/SMI/Store/Machine/" folder. By default base log files are hidden in Windows because they are system files. They should not be deleted or modified because they may include such important user and system-level information as user passwords, account options and program properties.
