Blender (open source 3D modeling software) automatic backup file that is a copy of the previously saved version of the currently opened BLEND project. The file is used to recover the previous version of the project if the current one becomes corrupted. To open backuped project as a normal BLEND document you should change it's file extension from ".blend1" to ".blend".
