BGL file extension

Babylon (software that supports online translation in many different languages) glossary file with terms and definitions that may be loaded into Babylon software. This file may be translated on-the-fly into many languages using the program. Babylon Glossary Builder (mainly used for generating custom glossaries) can be used to create BGL files.

Microsoft Flight Simulator (flight simulation game) data file with scenery information for flying locations and airports. Small locations can use a single BGL file, but more complex big locations require multiple BGL files. Preinstalled with the game BGL files should not be edited, but custom BGL files may be created and modified to add custom flying locations and airports to the game. These files are located in the "/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/AddOn Scenery/scenery/" folder of the game installation directory. Third-party applications, such as FSX Planner, can be used to generate and compile custom BGL files. After placing this custom file to the appropriate folder it will become available in the game.
